Sony Starts to Work on the Next Flagship: Sony Xperia Z2

Not long after the Sony’s Xperia Z1, codenamed Honami, was just unveiled at IFA earlier this month, its follow-up mode Sony Xperia Z2 has already been on the road of rumors.  It seems that the Japanese tech company is wasting no time working on its next flagship smartphone. The Sony Xperia Z2, allegedly codenamed Avatar, is expected to have an overall upgrade. It will come with a 5.5-inch IGZO 1080p display with a high pixel density of 540ppi, 3GB of RAM, a 3500mAh battery, Android 4.4 KitKat and keep the Snapdragon 800 processor and a 20.7 MP camera with Xenon flash. However, there is another saying that the device will sport a 5.2 1080p display at 500ppi and a 3200mAh battery. Reports claim that Sony will announce this Xperia Z2 at CES 2014 next January.  If that’s true, it will be the fourth member in the Xperia Z family in just one year after Sony Xperia Z coming out at CES 2013. We can see that the Japanese company is aiming at competing with Samsung, HTC, and Apple to gain back its position in the world.
