Samsung Is the Biggest Manufacturer of Cell Phone in 2012

From the report of market research company IHS, Samsung will become the No.1 manufaturer of cell phone by having the largest Global Unit Shippment, take up to 29% of the whole market. While Nokia, the former champion of  Global Unit Shippment 14 years in a row, is surpassed by Samsung. It is said that in smartphone market, Samsung also take the leadership  of global smartphone market, taking up to 28 % of the whole market, 8% higher than Apple.This year, in smart phone market, Samsung and Apple are at the same line most of the time. Finally, Samsung exceeds Apple. The mobile phone market share of Nokia in has shrinked from 30% to 24% and the share in smart phone market has declined from 16% to 5%. The main reason is that Nokia is now running Microsoft Windows Phone operating system instead of its Symbian system.
