Nexus 5 Rumored to be Announced on October 5th with Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie

The latest news from Korean scientific site Daum reported that the flagship smartphone Nexus 5 is being designed based on the LG G2, and LG will cooperate with Google once again to announce the phone on October 5th of this year.

Daum also reported that G2 will be equipped with a Snapdragon 800 processor, 2GB or 3GB of RAM, a 13-megapixel camera with OIS, a 2700 mAh battery, a 5.2 inches HD-1080P display, and LTE-A support. The G2 is also said to release with Android 4.2.2, JellyBean out of the box. LG is hoped to debut its flagshipG2 smartphone at a press in August. Compared with the G2, the Nexus 5 will sport a stock version of Android, Google will reportedly release the Nexus 5 with Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie. It is well known that the Nexus 4 and Optimus G feature similar specifications, so it is likely that LG will use the same strategy for the new device. In May, a Korean executive stated that LG didn’t make a plan to manufacture another Nexus flagship smartphone. However, LG quickly replied that they would be delighted to cooperate with Google again. It is likely that the next-gen Nexus may come before the end of 2013.
