Some people may think that both the iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus battery capacity is smaller than 6 and 6 Plus, so the battery life will be shorter at the same time. However, we have to get some data from ANANDTECH to show you.
Because of the differences of hardware between 6S series and 6 series, of course, there are differences in the power consumption. So we can’t define exactly which one features longer battery life. Some people think of buying an iPhone 6 Plus battery to install into the iPhone 6S Plus so that the phone can last up longer since the iPhone 6 Plus owns 2915mAh while iPhone 6S Plus is 2750mAh, plus the battery dimensions look like the same, that may deserve a try to those people. We did this test and found that even though there is little difference in battery thickness between them, still they can be installed well in to with each other’s body.
Conclusions:
According to our battery test, the 6S and 6 can’t share the same battery because of different battery connectors，which makes it impossible to connect well to the motherboard. As for iPhone 6S Plus and iPhone 6 Plus, we can exchange battery for each other and it worked for a while within our testing, however, we can’t assure that the 6 Plus battery can work in an iPhone 6S Plus for a long time without any bad effects. I have a 6 battery which i want to put in my 6s. I noticed first hand that the connectors are different, but would it work if i cut the connectors at their ‘cable’ and exchange them? is the problem ONLY that it does not physically fit and therefore if i switch the end it would be fine? or would it be bad if I did that?
I bought a new iPhone 6s battery but on fortunately I was told that the battery is bad. For instance if I should connect it to s desktop it will off that is the light of the desktop.

Hi, I carefully read the post but still I have doubt. Is the Iphone 6PLUS conectors the same as 6S? Judging by the photos. Beyond the diference in size, just for testing purposes I want to use a 6S battery on a 6PLUS. In the conclusion of the post was missing the ports comparision. Hope 4 coments and thanks
The 6s battery and 6+ battery are not in the same size, even though the connector is the same. The 6 and 6s batteries are the same, but the thickness is different.

1. The battery size is not the same.
2. Maybe two reasons. Firstly, the phone drains the battery fast, update the iOS and Apps to the latest version or go to the battery find out which app drains the most battery then uninstall it. If you still need to use it, download a new one and install. Secondly, it may be the device issue, such as the motherboard, power management chip. In this situation, you can’t do anything.
