Reviewed by Richa**RatingI ordered one of these front assemblies because I didn't want to mess around with a heat gun to replace my smashed front glass piece. The product arrive very well packaged, and very highly protected (overkill, actually - there's a plastic waterproof container inside the cardboard box). I managed to complete the replacement (ie, transplant of my phone innards) within about 3 hours. Everything works very well except I messed up the volume buttons contact pads and now my volume buttons aren't working. I'm too lazy to remove the back cover again to fix this.
The item shipped by Etradesupply.com is virtually identical to the original front assembly, and I had no issues with the fitment of things. Only changes I could notice were the digitizer IC was made by Synaptics (the original one was by someone else), and the flex cables seem to be slightly longer that when I put on the mid-cover, there's some reflex push from the flex cables. Perhaps I should have used double-sided tape to hold it down against the mainboard, like the original was.
All in all, I was very impressed with my first attempt at repairing my own phone, thanks to Etradesupply.com's great product and support.
