Release Date 

 

Samsung launched its first foldable phone in Feb.20^th at MWC 2019, within a week, the Huawei launched the Huawei Mate X in Feb.24^th. Although the phone is launched, you can’t buy it now. Appearance Design

 

The display of Samsung Galaxy Fold is folding inside, while the Mate X is outside. So the Huawei Mate X is thinner than Galaxy Fold, it is only 11mm when folded. When the phone is unfolded, the Mate X is bigger and thinner than the Samsung Galaxy Fold.

 

Display

 

There are two display on Samsung Galaxy Fold, the folded display is 4.6 inches, while the unfolded display is 7.3 inches.

 

Different from the Samsung, the Huawei Mate X has 3 display. Front and back screen when folded, and a big screen when unfolded. The Huawei Mate X front display is 6.6 inches, the back display is 6.4 inches and the unfolded display is 8 inches.

 

Price

 

The Samsung Galaxy Fold price is $1980, it is much higher than the latest Samsung Galaxy S10 series. However, the price is not the highest, only higher. The Huawei Mate X is €2299, it may be the most expensive smartphone from now.

 

Camera

 

 

The Samsung Galaxy Fold has 6 cameras, one front 10M camera on the 4.6 inches screen, 10M+8M on the 7.3 inches screen and 12MP Telephoto Camera, 12MP Wide-angle Camera, 16MP Ultra-Wide Camera on the rear cover. The Huawei Mate X only have 3 cameras on the rear housing, but it also can be used for selfies.

 

Battery

 

The Samsung Galaxy Fold battery capacity is 4380 mAh, it is bigger than the Samsung Galaxy S10 series battery. Due to the big size of body, the Huawei Mate X battery is 4500 mAh.

 

Charging Speed

 

The Samsung Galaxy Fold is fast charging compatible on wired and wireless. The Huawei Mate X support 55W fast charging, it can be charged to 85% in 30 minutes.

 

5G
