Both the driving IC and connector are on the flex cable, which are fragile, please avoid any impact on it.
The function of the digitizer layer is controlled by the driving IC and any small damage on it may cause malfunction of your digitizer.
How to install/Tips:
Separate your broken digitizer from the rest part of the LCD assembly by using a heat gun to soft the adhesive in between the two layers.
Peel off the protective film on the new digitizer, paste new adhesive on it and then put the digitizer on the LCD screen.
Press the digitizer to make sure there isn't any air bubbles in between the two layers.
