With displays getting bigger and bigger today, users always complain about the displays break easily and consume too much power, etc. So some kind of revolution on how displays are made seems to be necessary. Monday, LG announced that they are going to showcase a 5-inch flexible and unbreakable OLED display at the Society for Information Display’s (SID) annual trade show this week. A flexible display is undoubtedly an innovation in the mobile phone technology realm that will change how we see cellphones. Samsung and Motorola are said to be using this new technology in some of their prototype handsets, but have still not released it to the public. This will be the first time that LG demonstrates its flexible display to the world. LG plans to release a smart phone with a flexible OLED display in the Q4 of 2013. Source: BGR
