    Hi,
Moto G xt1032, was damaged LCD display, I replaced with new, but there is no signal, when pluging and charger come to the top of the diplay indicating ligh indicating that the battery is charging, or there is nothing to diplay. What would it be to discover the defect.

    Hi,

I recently replaced my screen+digitizer in my moto g phone (got it from another vendor). Both the display and the digitizer worked well (although the red was slightly less ‘red’).

There was a small area near the top where the touch screen sometimes worked, sometimes didn’t. I removed and re-inserted the ribbon cable for the screen and then the digitizer stopped working. When I repeated it, the screen also stopped working, though the LED backlight worked. Thinking I broke the ribbon cable, I ordered a new one from another vendor.

This new screen also doesn’t work at all (only LED works). But the touch screen works fine. I did an ADB screen grab using the USB to computer and I can ‘see’ what the phone screen background image is being trasnmitted to the screen, but I don’t know if the circuit is damaged or this screen is bad too.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Nooman

Anyone knows if the rear camera can be removed easily as the front facing one or not?

The last part is not easy .
You need a hot air gun ( or similar ) and a metal prey bar (google it) or similar tool
Put the broken screen facing up and apply the hot air gun, and use the metal Prey bar to lift it gently and continue the procedure slowly all a round the screen

Be careful with the speaker phone as it is glued as you might damage it.. if you do then you can still by a new speaker phone over ebay or other for about £3

    Hope this will help

    Regards

I tried this and failed. taking apart from the back. I dont think has anything to do with the screen., you get as far as the video and that is it. i cant figure it out. but im sure its top secrete and may have to be done with heat. there was a huge amount of some glue gel stuff between lcd and screen. i tried the remove broken glass trick as well. fail. i would not recommend doing this by your self at all.

I have bought a new LCD screen and digitizer at http://www.etradesupply.com and I have the same question: Could you please show us how to disassemble the LCD screen + digitizer from the front housing cover? The LCD screen + digitizer are still in the front housing at the end of the video.

I just finished LCD removal.. The screen is glued to the housing so you must heat up the whole thing (with hairdryer for example) and then use pry tool to lift the screen up.
Now I’m wondering what kind of glue should I use for the new screen…
