How to Repair Broken Motorola Droid Razr HD XT925 Screen

New Motorola Droid Razr HD XT925 LCD Screen and Digitizer Assembly with Front frame

Step 1

Power the Motorola Droid Razr HD XT925 off.

Use tweezers to take out the SIM card tray.

Use small Phillips screwdriver to undo 2 screws at the bottom of the phone.

Push the screen assembly with frame from bottom to top gently, because there are flex cables behind the screen.

Use case opening tool to disconnect the digitizer flex cable.

Use case opening tool to disconnect the LCD flex cable.

Once the flex cables are removed, take away the broken screen assembly with front frame.

Now you can replace the broken screen with a new one and reassemble the phone in reverse order above. Please note if the new screen you get doesn’t come with the front frame, you need to separate the front frame from the broken screen and transfer it to the new screen, which is a little difficult. If you want to make the replacement process easier, you’d better get a new screen with front frame.
